Job Summary

Maintaining a neat facility and property by completing a variety of cleaning tasks; keeping workplace clean, organized, and disinfected.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls
• Service, clean, and supply all restrooms on property
• Disinfect commonly used items such as desks, door handles, office tools and phones
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Notify maintenance manager concerning any major repairs
• Gather and empty trash and recycling bins
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years of janitorial and/or housekeeping experience
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• General math skills
• Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
• Ability to use basic cleaning equipment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks; keep up in a fast-paced environment
• Worked previously in warehouse / manufacturing plant
• Ability to make minor repairs to equipment
• Creative problem-solving skills

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
