About the Role

We are seeking a 1st and 2nd shift facilities custodian for our Hanover, PA buildings. This is a full-time position and requires driving between multiple plants in Hanover.

Responsibilities

• Clean floor and wall surfaces to control dust
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment: vacuums, scrubbers, blowers, etc.
• Able to be forklift certified
• Vacuum and mop floors
• Dust surfaces
• Clean interior and exterior windows
• Clean and replenish supplies for office, production area restrooms, and locker rooms throughout the shift
• Pick up debris on the grounds
• Bale cardboard
• Empty production floor trash containers
• Clean and organize break rooms
• Paint lines on floors and walls
• Snow shoveling and salting
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours per day
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing dynamics
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to work well with others and maintain a positive, courteous attitude, especially when cleaning shared spaces during busy times
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, and stand for extended periods
• Thoroughness in cleaning and organizing areas like restrooms, cafeterias, and production spaces
• Strong time management skills and consistent, punctual attendance
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without direct supervision, as this role operates as a team of one
