Custodian
Job Summary
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment across the facility. Key duties include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, office spaces, and breakrooms, as well as performing light shoveling and sanding of walkways during inclement weather. This role supports the health and safety of staff and visitors by ensuring all areas are hygienic and accessible.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all restrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, floors, and dispensers.
- Maintain cleanliness in office spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, trash removal, and surface sanitization.
- Clean and restock breakrooms, including wiping down appliances, tables, and counters.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Perform light shoveling and sanding of walkways during winter months or inclement weather to ensure safe access.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom products.
- Wash interior windows.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Physical ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; bend; stoop, crouch or crawl; kneel; talk or hear; taste or smell. Additionally, workers will be exposed to a large warehouse environment and may experience loud volumes or high/low temperatures, based on current weather.
Pay and Benefits
The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, and schedule type. The salary range for this role is for $18.50-$25.00 hourly. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
