About the role

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment by performing janitorial duties in buildings and playgrounds. Ensures adherence to safety, infection control, and Head Start policies. Works independently and collaborates with staff to support a sanitary and orderly setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior janitorial experience preferred
• Must obtain valid driver’s license, First Aid/CPR certification, Food Handler’s permit, TB test, and health physical within specified timeframes
• Knowledge of safety procedures and infection control protocols
• May require background checks and drug testing if safety-sensitive
• Valid driver’s license may be required for transportation needs

Preference given to tribal members and honorably discharged veterans.
