Custodian

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work
• Knowledge of maintaining school buildings and grounds in a safe, clean, and orderly condition
• Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency
• Perform heavy physical labor
• Understand and carry out oral and written directions
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
• One year of experience in custodial or general labor work required
• Must possess and maintain a valid California driver's license
• MUST SUBMIT A RECENT DMV (3 YEAR MINIMUM) DRIVING RECORD WITH APPLICATION
• MUST SUBMIT A CRIMINAL HISTORY CHECK AND PRE-EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL ASSESSMENT WILL BE REQUIRED OF THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE PRIOR TO EMPLOYMENT

DUTIES OF POSITION:

• Under supervision performs general cleaning, custodial functions, grounds maintenance and gardening work at an assigned school site
• Exercises responsibility for the general cleanliness of assigned locations
• Performs a variety of duties in the upkeep of assigned school site and related areas

STARTING SALARY: $3,524.14 (monthly)

NUMBER OF MONTHS: 12 (to begin as soon as possible)

NUMBER OF HOURS: 8 (daily working hours 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
