Custodian

This position is fully onsite and supports the US Army Corps of Engineers. The Custodian will report to the Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties for Government contracts, which may include a combination of the following:
  • Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors
  • Removing chips, trash, and other refuse
  • Dusting equipment, furniture, or fixtures
  • Polishing metal fixtures or trimmings
  • Cleaning lavatories, showers, and restrooms
• Disinfect high-touch areas (e.g., doorknobs, light switch covers, desktops)

Requirements

• Good communication skills
• Must pass agency and federal background checks, drug screen, and be authorized to work in the US
• Physically demanding role requiring the ability to move, carry, and store various items, as well as clean, dust, and wipe rooms, floors, and carpets
• 3–5 years of experience

Pay

Starting wage: $15.71/hr plus $5.09 per hour Health and Welfare (up to 40 hours per week). Health and Welfare funds can be taken as additional hourly pay, resulting in an effective wage of $20.80/hr.
