Custodian

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing floors, walls, windows, furniture, and other surfaces
• Maintaining restrooms: cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking supplies
• Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper disposal
• Performing light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or fixing small leaks
• Operating cleaning equipment like vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffing machines
• Managing inventory of cleaning supplies and restocking as needed
• Ensuring the building is locked and secured after hours
• Setting up and preparing rooms for events, meetings, or other special occasions
• Performing light grounds maintenance tasks like sweeping sidewalks or removing snow
• Following safety procedures, wearing appropriate protective gear, and reporting safety hazards
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor
