Custodian

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cleaning schedule that includes:
  • Cleaning floors (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, etc.)
  • Cleaning chalkboards, wastebaskets, windows, doors, furniture, and equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
• Keep school building and grounds neat and clean, including sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas
• Comply with local laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash
• Assist in maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and request additional supplies as needed
• Perform minor repairs and building/grounds maintenance

Skills

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
• Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building/grounds maintenance
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
• Proper handling of cleaning supplies

Pay

Annual salary range: $23,699.00 – $27,821.00
