About the role
Chart’s New Prague, MN location is seeking a Custodian for the day shift.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of floors (mopping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, baseboards)
- Pick up and dispose of trash
- Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms (toilets, sinks, countertops, replenishing paper towels and tissue)
- Keep lunchroom neat and orderly (coffee dispensers filled, cups/napkins stocked, tables/sinks/countertops wiped down)
- Light gardening (watering plants, pulling weeds)
- Maintain cleanliness of conference rooms and perform light dusting
- Adhere to established safety and quality procedures
- Maintain a clean work area and practice general housekeeping standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Work Environment
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., occasionally 50-60 lbs. with assistance
- Frequent standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking, and occasional crawling
- Frequent pushing, pulling, and handling of materials
- Occasional sitting, climbing, and working at elevated positions
- Exposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash, and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiation
- Possible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremes
- Exposure to overhead objects and occasional flying debris
- Required use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI-approved steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection, and hard hat
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience
- Able to tolerate extended periods of walking and standing
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Good customer service skills
- Previous experience operating commercial cleaning equipment (preferred)
Pay
$18–20 per hour.
