CUSTODIAN
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain cleanliness and orderliness in our auto dealership. The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated building areas, including offices, restrooms, service departments, and common areas, in a sanitary and safe condition.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, clean windows, and polish floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly li>Dust furniture, equipment, and surfaces
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces
- Handle food at events for customers
- Prepare and display snacks for customers in the showroom
- Perform basic maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, minor repairs)
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify supervisor when supplies are low
- Follow safety guidelines and use cleaning chemicals and equipment properly
- Lock and unlock doors, turn off lights, and secure buildings as required
- Report any damage, needed repairs, or security concerns to management
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 3 months of related experience and/or training (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects, stand, bend, and walk for long periods
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Work Conditions
May require evening, night, or weekend shifts. Exposure to cleaning chemicals. Indoor and occasional outdoor work. Use of protective equipment (gloves, goggles, etc.).
