Custodian

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned custodial tasks in an indoor setting, including carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
• Assists in moving supplies and equipment as needed.
• Notifies supervisor of problems or difficulties encountered while performing job duties.
• Monitors inventory of supplies and reports needs for replenishment to the team leader.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment to the team leader.
• Performs additional related duties as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

• At least six months of prior porter or cleaning experience, or completion of the ACCES-VR porter training program.
• Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions given by a supervisor.
• Training in the use of commercial cleaning equipment.
• Experience with carpet cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid New York State driver’s license.
