About the role
Performs routine custodial activities at school sites or facilities to maintain cleanliness, order, and security of buildings and grounds.
Responsibilities
- Sweeping, mopping, waxing, polishing floors
- Vacuuming carpets, spot cleaning, shampooing, and repairing carpets
- Cleaning and disinfecting sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors, tiles, and windows
- Cleaning chalkboards and preparing rooms for events
- Collecting trash and debris
- Operating cleaning equipment
- Maintaining security by locking/unlocking doors and reporting hazards
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
Skills
- Ability to perform routine custodial tasks
- Follow safety protocols
- Report hazards
- Work independently to ensure a clean, safe environment
