Custodial Worker

Responsibilities

• Absorb and implement overall cleanliness of the facility.
• Prepare and execute daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and special project assignments as directed by the supervisor.
• Offer feedback and supporting documentation on the performance of housekeeping employees.
• Create and manage schedules and assignments for the department as required.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to procure necessary equipment and supplies as needed by the supervisor.
• Ensure the safe handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
• Schedule cleaning services to align with residents' routines and preferences.
• Ensure that housekeeping/laundry personnel respect resident rights, including privacy and confidentiality.
• Maintain adherence to safe work practices and ensure personnel are knowledgeable about handling chemicals and machinery.
• Perform cleaning duties such as washing, mopping, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, sanitizing, waxing, and picking up trash in common areas and Veteran's bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Climb ladders, stairs, or walk long distances while remaining in a standing position for extended periods.
• Operate various types of power-driven machinery such as vacuum sweepers, buffers, and other similar equipment.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
