Custodial Supervisor
About the role
Responsible for planning work related activities including the organization of workspace, workstations, crews, etc., to obtain a more effective and productive operation. Must demonstrate the following characteristics; be able to adapt to changing work conditions; provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers; demonstrate leadership and organizational skills; and represent the agency in a professional manner at all times.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish time and motion studies, job evaluations, floor layout, use of standards, and methods for costs and price instructions.
- Be familiar with ordering, controlling, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Contract is considered mission essential, and work must be performed regardless of environmental conditions.
- Must be able to perform quality control inspections.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and collect data at a high school level.
- Demonstrate patience.
- Cook up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Walk, stand, and/or sit for eight hours per day.
Requirements
- 21 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Supervision experience in a competitive work setting preferred.
- Familiarity with all aspects of janitorial service, use of cleaning chemicals, floor care techniques, and the use of janitorial equipment.
- Minimum of three years of experience in management.
- Possess a REAL ID compliant valid driver's license.
- Have a good driving record.
- Pass an initial federal background check and subsequent annual recheck to maintain all employment at CAFB.
- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Possess a working telephone (this requirement reflects the fact that many positions rely on a timekeeping application to record work hours).
- Up to date immunization and flu shots.
