Position Summary
Supervise daily custodial operations, train and schedule custodial personnel, oversee and inventory supplies, conduct general cleaning and custodial duties, and coordinate and provide general facilities maintenance and repairs. Work hours will be 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Custodial Management and Duties
- Responsible for scheduling, assigning, and performing daily work routines.
- Discuss all safety issues, provide proper personal protective equipment and train employees on safety-related issues.
- Provide on the job training for new employees regarding every phase of their job, which includes equipment and chemical usage.
- Provide continuing training using on the job coaching methods for current employees.
- Schedule and supervise all custodial projects (refinishing floors, painting, deep cleaning, etc.).
- Advise IT and Facilities Supervisor when standards are not being met and disciplinary action may need to be taken in a timely matter.
Facility Management
- Manage equipment and agency assets.
- Establish cleaning supply inventory and ordering of all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Communicate effectively regarding work requests and any other element of the job.
- Cook up and provide assistance for building emergencies (such as fire/flood clean-up, snow/ice removal, etc) during and after working hours.

- Coordinate relocation of items from Wood River and Granite City sites to storage unit and shredding of dated documents.
- Advises the IT and Facilities Supervisor on the condition of CYHS's buildings/property by conducting regular inspections and reporting any needed repairs.
Vendor Relations
- Cook up and arrange for any moving needs to include scheduling professional movers.
- Meet and speak to individuals when they arrive to perform building inspections.

Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of experience in custodial services required.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment and supplies is required.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and see them through to completion.
- Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
Pay
$20 - $23 per hour
