Primary Purpose
Thoroughly clean and sanitize all parts of the facility for fans, guests, and employees.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Properly understand and perform sanitization, disinfecting and cleaning protocols as set by Manager
- Monitor all trash cans in assigned area and empty and reline as needed
- Survey area for entire shift with broom and dustpan in hand, keeping areas free of litter and spills
- Monitor assigned restrooms for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed, sign restroom check sheet on all restroom doors following every check
- Breakdown and dispose of cardboard boxes during promotional give-away games
- Perform all pre-game assignments as assigned by Supervisor including but not limited to performing trash runs/pushing tilt bins across concourse
- Must arrive to work on time, in uniform, and stay until the end of your scheduled shift (4-8 hours)
- Able to read and understand cleaning chemical product use instructions
- Able to lift and transport all necessary equipment weighing up to 50lbs
- Able to be minimum of 18 years of age
- Required to become member of Service Employees International Union, Local Number 1
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisors and/or acting Manager-on-Duty
- Leads Only: Required to report to work 30-60 minutes prior to game day staff arriving
- Ability to work special events on non-game days
- Ability to act as Supervisor-on-Duty when in respective area when Supervisor is not present
- Ability to actively patrol areas with broom and dustpan for entire shift
- Ability to use a radio communication correctly and effectively with other team members
- Ability to lead small groups of team members effectively to ensure department goals are achieved
- Ability to complete all assignments above accordingly
Role Requirements
- Required to become member of Service Employees International Union, SEIU 1
- Valid driver’s license (required for select positions)
- Trustworthy and dependable
- Able to work independently or as part of team
- Able to work entire assigned shift, this includes but not limited to pre-events, post-events, and rain delays
- Able to hear, comprehend and disseminate instructions and vital information especially in the event of emergencies
- Promptly monitor all public areas of the ballpark, reporting any matter that requires medical, security, custodial or maintenance personnel using means and methods provided in handbook, in a timely manner, continue to monitor to ensure satisfactory resolution
- Learn and operate basic computer operating programs i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer, ABI, Ultipro
Department Requirements
- Read and understand all relevant policies and procedures of the Ballpark Operations department and Cleveland Guardians Organization
- Monitor and implement policies and procedures in a polite and friendly manner
- Professionally interact with all guests and employees in a clear and effective manner
- Actively engage and listen to all guests and professionally answer any questions or concerns in a timely manner
- Learn all areas of the ballpark, to provide clear accurate direction and assistance to all guest
- Document all unusual or unique occurrences on an observation card and report to a Supervisor in a timely manner
- Attend all required trainings and daily briefings
- Clear understanding of individual staff responsibilities throughout the department
- Maintain a professional appearance in compliance with the Employee Handbook and our uniform requirements
- Availability Requirements: Available to work the vast majority of all home games during the months of April through October

Compensation and Benefits
The expected hourly rate for this position is $16.07. This rate serves as a general guideline; actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
