Custodial Services Worker - McKinney ISD Facilities

About the role

Join a team providing custodial services at McKinney ISD to keep classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, gyms, and other school district facilities safe, clean, and ready for learning. This position plays a vital role in the community by helping create clean, healthy spaces for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others.
• Accurately maintain and clean housekeeping equipment.
• Clean assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements.
• Follow procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transport it to designated areas.
• Report maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel.
• Secure the facility, ensuring the building is locked/unlocked as required.
• Ensure security of company assets.
• Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive guest service demeanor toward guests, clients, and co-workers.
• Adaptable to guests’ needs.

Physical Demands

• Lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing.
• May require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
