Custodial Services Worker Lead - Rutherford School District Facilities

This position cleans and maintains assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction and may oversee or delegate responsibilities within the cleaning services operation. Essential functions vary by location based on client requirements and business needs.

About the role

This is a lead position responsible for setup and breakdown of events throughout the school year, as well as covering a section primarily consisting of offices. The work environment is collaborative and team-oriented.

Work location: This position is based at a high school.

Work hours: Summer schedule is 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM; school-year schedule is 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work assignments to a custodial team and leads all aspects of task completion
• Adheres to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including OSHA, state/local, federal, and Aramark regulations
• Maintains a clean and orderly environment to project the safety and health of others
• Accurately cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment
• Cleans assigned areas to Aramark and client standards and requirements
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports it to designated areas
• Reports maintenance concerns via work order requests to appropriate personnel
• Secures the facility, ensuring building is locked/unlocked as required
• Ensures security of company assets

Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

• Previous custodial experience required
• Previous experience in a supervisory or related role preferred
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals
• Maintains a friendly, efficient, and positive guest service demeanor toward guests, clients, and co-workers
• Adaptable to guest needs

This role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. It may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00.
