About the Role
This is a part-time evening role. The Custodial Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of custodial and janitorial operations supporting the facility. The position provides direct leadership and oversight of custodial personnel, ensuring facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, sanitary, and professional condition. The Custodial Manager manages daily work activities, staffing, schedules, quality, supplies, and customer requirements while ensuring services are performed in accordance with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable safety standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
- Direct, supervise, and coordinate daily custodial and janitorial operations and personnel.
- Develop and manage work schedules, assignments, staffing coverage, and daily priorities.
- Inspect completed and in-process custodial work to ensure cleanliness, quality, and contract standards are consistently achieved.
- Monitor custodial supplies, equipment, and materials and coordinate replenishment as required.
- Identify and resolve operational, staffing, quality, and customer service issues.
- Ensure custodial activities are performed in accordance with applicable safety, sanitation, and environmental requirements.
- Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to custodial personnel.
- Maintain required work records, inspection documentation, schedules, and reports.
- Coordinate with facility management and other functional areas to support uninterrupted facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall custodial and janitorial service delivery.
- Cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of assigned facilities.
- Custodial workforce scheduling, supervision, and productivity.
- Compliance with quality, safety, and contract requirements.
- Timely identification and resolution of custodial deficiencies.
- Availability and proper use of custodial supplies, equipment, and materials.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in custodial support services.
- Must possess an active Secret clearance.
Preferred:
- Prior experience supervising custodial or janitorial personnel.
- Experience managing custodial operations in a large or complex facility.
- Experience with quality inspections, staffing coordination, and custodial work scheduling.
- Experience supporting Government or federal facilities.
