Position Overview

The Custodial Lead helps ensure KANA facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and welcoming condition while supporting high clinical standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout offices, conference rooms, restrooms, public gathering spaces, entryways, and exterior grounds
  • Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, disinfecting, and other custodial duties
  • Support Marketplace events through room setup, breakdown, monitoring, and post-event cleaning
  • Assist with coordinating daily custodial activities and prioritizing facility needs
  • Monitor facilities and grounds to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional appearance
  • Maintain custodial inventory, supplies, and organized storage areas
  • Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures safely and effectively
  • Provide courteous customer service and assistance to visitors, vendors, tenants, and employees
  • Support and provide on-the-job guidance and training to custodial staff
  • Work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum three years of custodial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Leadership or team lead experience preferred
  • Knowledge of custodial practices, sanitation standards, and cleaning products preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and event support as needed
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
