Position Overview
The Custodial Lead helps ensure KANA facilities are maintained in a safe, clean, and welcoming condition while supporting high clinical standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout offices, conference rooms, restrooms, public gathering spaces, entryways, and exterior grounds
- Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, disinfecting, and other custodial duties
- Support Marketplace events through room setup, breakdown, monitoring, and post-event cleaning
- Assist with coordinating daily custodial activities and prioritizing facility needs
- Monitor facilities and grounds to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional appearance
- Maintain custodial inventory, supplies, and organized storage areas
- Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures safely and effectively
- Provide courteous customer service and assistance to visitors, vendors, tenants, and employees
- Support and provide on-the-job guidance and training to custodial staff
- Work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum three years of custodial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Leadership or team lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of custodial practices, sanitation standards, and cleaning products preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and event support as needed
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required
- Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds
