Custodial Crew Member

Responsibilities

• Maintain and spot clean all carpets and furniture.
• Maintain cleanliness of all offices, restrooms, and laboratories daily.
• Maintain floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and using the Omniflex Machine as required.
• Perform general custodial functions such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, cleaning windows, and light fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish paper supplies and soap, and sweep and mop nightly.
• Perform minor maintenance and repair work on custodial equipment.
• Inspect areas for quality assurance per Custodial Log Book.
• Clean office furniture, walls, windows, water faucets, and floors of stains and fingerprints.
• Operate floor maintenance equipment, backpack vacuum, and mop ringer.
• Maintain inventory records of equipment and supplies, as well as reorder requests.
• Train others and perform related work as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of custodial services experience.
• Outgoing, energetic, and motivated personality.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public.
• Ability to read and write English at a 10th-grade level.
• Reliable transportation preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Standing/walking for the length of shift (4-8 hours).
• Bending up and down as necessary during the full shift (4-8 hours).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (reasonable accommodations available).

Machines, Tools, Equipment, and Work Aids

The essential functions of this position require the use of cleaning supplies such as mops, cleaning chemicals, and vacuums.

Environmental Factors

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors with limited outside exposure.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

Pay

Hourly position with a wage range of $14 to $15 per hour.
