Responsibilities

  • Work in the cafeteria area during lunch, remove trash, sweep and mop floor, etc.
  • Assist in school recycling program.
  • Pickup trash and sweep throughout the building.
  • Spot clean walls, lockers, and entry glass.
  • Perform duties in a timely, neat and efficient manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    • A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
    • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
    • Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 30 lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
    • Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
    • Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
    • Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
    • Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
    • Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
    • Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.

    Compensation / Benefits

    Compensation is according to contractual agreement (based on 2026-27 contract).

    • Custodial Aide: $19.02 hourly.
    • If eligible, benefits are available to new employees effective the first day of active employment.
