Custodial Aide
Responsibilities
- Work in the cafeteria area during lunch, remove trash, sweep and mop floor, etc.
- Assist in school recycling program.
- Pickup trash and sweep throughout the building.
- Spot clean walls, lockers, and entry glass.
- Perform duties in a timely, neat and efficient manner.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalency is required.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
- Must be physically qualified to perform assigned duties including lifting up to 30 lbs on a regular basis and display flexibility in cleaning assignments.
- Ability to communicate in a clear, positive manner with staff, students and the public.
- Must have a desire to work in a cooperative manner and team environment.
- Must have a good attendance record and be punctual.
- Must not have any recent disciplinary actions.
- Must conduct a positive interview and receive a good reference from current and previous supervisors.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
- Compensation according to contractual agreement (based on 2026-27 contract).
- Custodial Aide: $19.02 hourly.

About the Role
The position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the school building, particularly in the cafeteria area, during lunch hours. Duties include trash removal, floor maintenance, and assisting with recycling efforts. The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
Schedule
10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 4 hours per day, 10-month calendar year.
