Position Summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking a qualified candidate to join the Teaching and Learning Specialist team starting in the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will support effective teaching and learning in World Languages in the District. This is a 0.6 FTE position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Washington State teaching certificate required
  • Three years of successful, student-centered classroom teaching experience and strong ideas for and/or experience implementing innovative technology solutions in the classroom
  • Commitment to and evidence of successful standard-based teaching
  • Commitment to the vision, goals, and philosophy of the Lake Washington School District
  • Implementation of effective instructional strategies and learning theory in diverse settings
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and educational technology tools

Salary

Paid per teacher salary schedule, plus 21 extra days and stipend contract. Tier 1 Compensation package - See Appendix N - TOSA Matrix of the LWSD LWEA Contract 2023-2027 for reference. Additional Technology stipend and Professional Fund. See LWEA salary schedule posted on website. Full benefit package available for employees working a minimum of 630 hours during the school year.
