About the role

New Haven Public Schools seeks qualified candidates to fill multiple positions in the World Languages Department. The ideal candidate will teach Spanish, French, Italian, Arabic, Chinese, or Japanese.

Responsibilities

  • Teach language classes aligned with the Common Core Standards and New Haven Public Schools curriculum.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance student learning.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid Connecticut teaching certificate in the appropriate world language area.
  • Experience teaching at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Pay

The salary range for the 26-27 School Year is $53,220 - $108,047, contingent upon degree and years of experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with a typical school year schedule.
