Curbside Pickup Team Member

About the role

Meijer is a family‑owned retailer that serves people and communities. This Digital Clerk position is responsible for fulfilling customers’ online curbside orders, delivering convenience one pickup at a time. The role blends active, technology‑focused work with friendly, customer‑oriented service to create a smooth pickup experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide remarkable service at the curbside pickup area through accurate order fulfillment and payment collection.
• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly attitude (in person and on the phone) and respond to questions and needs.
• Maintain positive working relationships with customers, team members across the store, and leadership.
• Resolve customer concerns quickly by partnering with leadership when needed.
• Receive daily workflow through a dashboard and fulfill orders throughout the shift.
• Select items throughout the store, scan/verify products, and bag items appropriately using bagging standards.
• Store and stage orders correctly while following food safety guidelines.
• Keep the curbside area clean, neat, and ready for the next pickup.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
• Turn online orders into easy, reliable, “right‑on‑time” pickups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first approach.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; prior retail experience preferred.
• Past cashier experience preferred.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and dependable.
• Process‑driven with the ability to follow procedures efficiently and consistently.
• Past online ordering experience a plus.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.
