About the role
The role is responsible for managing the museum's collections and ensuring their preservation and accessibility.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the care and maintenance of the museum's collections.
- Develop and implement strategies for the preservation of artifacts and artworks.
- Collaborate with curators and other staff to ensure accurate documentation of all collections.
- Manage the storage and retrieval systems for the collections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in museum curation or collection management.
- Experience with conservation techniques and materials.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of museum standards and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Proficiency in computer software relevant to museum operations.
- Experience with database management systems.
- Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in museum collections management.
Benefits

$80,000 - $90,000 annually based on experience.
