About the role

• Develop and implement state-of-the-art digital solutions for public history projects.
• Collaborate with historians, designers, and developers to create engaging and accessible online experiences.
• Conduct user research to inform design and development decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive exhibits and multimedia presentations.
• Ensure accessibility and usability of all digital content.
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in web development and digital history.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in web development or digital history.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and relevant frameworks/libraries.
• Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla.
• Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Python or PHP for backend development.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or D3.js.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first approach.
• Portfolio showcasing previous digital history projects.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year.
