About the role

The Iberville Museum seeks an enthusiastic and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Curator. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history and a strong background in museum curation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement educational programs for visitors of all ages
• Research and curate exhibits based on historical themes
• Manage the museum’s collections, including accessioning, cataloging, and storage
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance visitor experiences
• Maintain professional relationships with local historians and community members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in History, Museum Studies, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in a museum setting
• Experience with database management systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local history and culture
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
