About the Role
The Curative Specialist’s primary responsibility is to perform a detailed review and analysis of chain of ownership documents and chain of lien to clear up any discrepancies found during the property search. Use proprietary tools to perform research and clearance of said discrepancies and communicate with the applicable parties involved in the transaction. Responsible for all actions and communications regarding loans in pipeline. Interact daily with Management regarding pipeline and regularly communicate with client(s). Viewed as a subject matter expert and is involved in researching best practices within the industry.
Responsibilities
- Monitor communications to ensure timely responses
- Daily coordination and communication with Lenders
- Obtain advice from clients to effectively clear title
- Reconcile loans in pipeline weekly to confirm all have been reviewed and worked accurately
- Telephone customer service support
- Provide general assistance with internal communications with other teams to ensure timely delivery of searches
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively handle client communications via phone and email; must be able to empathize with clients
- Follow functional area’s processes and procedures in daily activities, troubleshoot as needed, and recommend suggestions for continuous improvements to overall operations
- Actively contribute to the results of a team and work toward achieving goals and objectives
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Typically has 4+ years of experience in title review, closing, funding, or post-closing of residential mortgage loans
- Industry experience required
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to perform tasks under deadline
- Overall understanding of Mortgage Loan Life Cycle process and mortgage loan documents
- Extreme attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Sound independent judgment
- Customer service skills
- Proficient in all MS Office applications
Pay
Pay Range: $23.37 - $31.15 hourly
