About the Role

The Cultivation Technician I is an entry-level role responsible for supporting daily plant care tasks under direct supervision. This role introduces employees to core functions in veg, flower, harvest, and trim and is designed to build a strong foundational understanding of the full plant lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic plant care tasks: transplanting, watering, pruning, and defoliation under supervision
  • Support harvest activities: cutting plants, tagging, weighing, and organizing batches
  • Assist with basic trimming operations including machine trim loading/unloading and tray cycling
  • Participate in room sanitation procedures and maintain clean work areas
  • Follow all safety and biosecurity protocols including PPE usage and movement restrictions
  • Complete required documentation accurately, including plant counts, task logs, and sanitation forms
  • Attend required training sessions and demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to feedback
  • Consistent development of skills and participation in quarterly department meetings
  • Own personal training and development regarding product knowledge, policies, and procedures
  • Follow all company Time and Attendance Policies
  • Proficient in product protection and maintain up-to-date knowledge of security procedures and protocols
  • Assist in monthly product and supply inventory audits as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of Loss Prevention (LP) procedures

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Organizational and decision-making skills
  • No cannabis experience required; experience in agriculture, horticulture, or manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with repetitive tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocols
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours a day and rotating shifts
  • Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a work day
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use a ladder (up to 12 ft. extension) and general hardware tools needed for common repairs
  • Ability and willingness to work in conditions including: general office environment, extended computer/phone usage, fumes, dust, odors, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, and noise

Pay

Hourly pay for this full-time position is $21.00/hour.
