About the role
Our Cultivation Technicians are integral to the day-to-day operations of our cultivation facility. This role involves hands-on tasks related to the growth and maintenance of cannabis plants throughout their lifecycle, from cloning to flowering. The Cultivation Technician ensures that plant care standards are met, grow bays are maintained, and all activities are performed in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plant Care: Perform hands-on tasks including cloning, vegetative stage maintenance, mother plant care, and flowering stage maintenance.
- Plant Maintenance: Monitor plant health, manage nutrient and watering schedules, and perform regular inspections to identify and address issues such as pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Trellising: Implement and maintain trellising systems to support plant growth and maximize yields.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitize grow bays, equipment, and tools to prevent contamination and maintain a hygienic growing environment.
- Transplanting and Transporting: Transplant seedlings and clones into larger containers or grow beds as needed; safely transport plants between different areas of the facility.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of plant growth, health, and treatments, and report any anomalies to the Cultivation Manager.
- Compliance: Follow all facility protocols and industry regulations regarding plant care, safety, and sanitation.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a background check and obtain an Agent Card
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to learn plant biology, growth cycles, and cultivation practices
- Previous experience in horticulture or cannabis cultivation is preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, and adjust to new technologies or procedures
- Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Standing/Walking: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, often in a greenhouse environment
- Repetitive Motion: Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to handle plants and equipment
- Manual Dexterity: Proficient hand-eye coordination for tasks such as cloning, trellising, and transplanting
- Work Environment: Ability to work in varying temperatures and humidity levels typical of greenhouse environments
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule
- Full-time, onsite position
- Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
- Occasional holidays/weekends as needed
