Cultivation Manager

About the role

A Cultivation Manager assists the Director of Cultivation with all activities and operations of the Cultivation Area. This specialized employee will be accountable for specific areas of operation and reports to the Cultivation Director. The role involves helping meet production goals and quality expectations while maintaining plant health and good agricultural practices.

Responsibilities

• Watering plants
• Applying foliar applications for pest and mold maintenance (IPM)
• Manicuring plants
• Cleaning grow areas
• Propagating cannabis (cloning)
• Transplanting cannabis plants
• Moving plants through production
• Harvesting plants
• Data entry and maintaining accurate records, inventories, and data
• Communicating with Team Leads and assisting in other areas as needed
• Maintaining plant health throughout the cultivation process
• Interviewing, selecting staff, training, development, and performance management
• Appraising employee productivity and efficiency, and recommending pay adjustments
• Performing other tasks as required

Cultivation areas include Indoor and Greenhouse Cultivation, IPM, Dry/Cure, Quality Control, Packaging, and Inventory Control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in horticulture, plant science, manufacturing, or business administration
• 3–5 years of experience in a related position with an emphasis on operations, production, or manufacturing
• Knowledge of the cannabis plant (required)
• Capable of working without supervision
• Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas
• Competent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Must pass a Level II background check
• Must be 21+ years of age
