About the role

The Cultivation Lead is responsible for overseeing and training the grow team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations with minimal oversight from management.

Responsibilities

• Train all employees and offer proper technique advice or assistance daily
• Lead/supervise a grow with minimal management assistance and forecast upcoming events
• Diagnose plant health; toxicities, deficiencies, pests, or other issues that may arise and determine the best solution
• Navigate established work sites and accomplish any necessary task requested
• Efficiently monitor grow helpers and assistants, offer assistance, and report challenging problems to management
• Make necessary entries into MJ Freeway and record data
• Maintain strong inventory control to accurately account for plants and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Supervisor/managerial experience highly preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age (or 18 in CT, PA, and WV)
• Must be able to pass comprehensive background screening

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 lbs to a minimum height of 5 feet and carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet, with or without mechanical assistance
• Must be able to work seated/standing for extended periods, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stopping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Must be able to use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• Must be able to handle organic matter daily and wear PPE as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)
• Must be able to be exposed to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions while wearing PPE (95 degrees or greater)
• Must have visual acuity (with/without job aids) to perform activities such as reading, viewing a computer terminal, and inspecting small parts/details
• Must have clarity of vision at 20 ft or more in day and night/dark conditions
• Must be able to speak and communicate verbally at conversation levels with co-workers, vendors, etc. (moderate noise)
