About the role
The Cultivation Lead will oversee the cultivation operations at our facility in Manassas, VA. This position is full-time non-exempt and on-site.Responsibilities
- Oversee daily cultivation activities including plant health management, crop rotation, and pest control.
- Develop and implement cultivation strategies to optimize yield and quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Train and mentor new employees in cultivation techniques and safety protocols.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, horticulture, botany, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cultivation management.
- Proven track record of successful cultivation projects.
- Experience with greenhouse management and crop production.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industry-standard cultivation techniques and technologies.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
