About the role
The Culinary Technician is responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of meals in a professional kitchen setting. This includes managing inventory, ensuring food safety standards are met, and collaborating with chefs to develop new recipes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily meal preparation and ensure adherence to food safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with chefs to develop and test new recipes.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a culinary or related field.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using kitchen equipment and tools.
- Experience with menu planning and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
