Duties
- Prepare food items, including menu items, in accordance with recipes and production standards
- Maintain inventory and track production, consumption, and waste
- Train and manage staff, monitoring production for quality and quantity
- Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Interact with customers to resolve complaints and provide service
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Input daily reports, time temp logs, refrigeration logs, and waste logs
- Adapt to changing event locations and environments
Requirements
- Comfortable operating in a loud, high-volume atmosphere
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Supervisory experience in a fast-paced dining or similar setting
- Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
