Duties

  • Prepare food items, including menu items, in accordance with recipes and production standards
  • Maintain inventory and track production, consumption, and waste
  • Train and manage staff, monitoring production for quality and quantity
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints and provide service
  • Assist with menu planning and development
  • Input daily reports, time temp logs, refrigeration logs, and waste logs
  • Adapt to changing event locations and environments

Requirements

  • Comfortable operating in a loud, high-volume atmosphere
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Supervisory experience in a fast-paced dining or similar setting
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as needed
