Culinary Services Lead

100% FTE, Monday through Friday, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. Some holidays required. Work location: University Hospital in Madison, WI.

About the role

Be part of transforming the patient experience. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker who can problem-solve on the spot, delegate tasks, manage workflows, and train staff while adapting to various learning styles. Excellent time management and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Follow all UW Health guidelines and policies regarding food safety and sanitation.
• Train and orient new staff members.
• Act as an effective leader for the Culinary Services Department and the organization.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Associate's Degree in Culinary, Hospitality, or Nutrition (Preferred).
• 3 years of food service, hospitality, or customer service experience (Required).
• 6 months of leadership experience (Preferred).
• ServSafe Certification within 180 days of hire (Required).
