Culinary Service Cook

About the role

The Culinary Service Cook at Monarch Healthcare Management is responsible for preparing, serving, and managing the food service for residents, guests, and employees. This position works part-time every other weekend and every other holiday.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve, and manage food for residents, guests, and employees under the direction of the Culinary Services Director and in coordination with the interdisciplinary team.
• Increase residents' acceptance and compliance, especially among those with therapeutic diet orders.
• Promote food service standards through cost, quality, and quantity controls.
• Provide meal service that meets the desires of the resident, allowing as much choice as possible and preserving the element of personal dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understand their special needs.
• Must qualify for employment after a criminal background study, in accordance with the Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines.
