Culinary Service Cook

About the role

The Culinary Service Cook prepares, serves, and/or is responsible for the preparation of foods for residents, guests, and employees. They increase residents' acceptance and compliance, especially among those with therapeutic diet orders, under the direction of the Culinary Services Director and in coordination with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals that meet the desires of residents, allowing as much choice as possible while preserving their dignity.
• Ensure food service meets cost, quality, and quantity standards.
• Increase residents' acceptance and compliance with therapeutic diet orders.

Requirements

• Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents and understanding of their special needs.
• Employment eligibility after a criminal background check in accordance with Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines.

• Must qualify for employment based on a criminal background study per Minnesota Department of Human Services guidelines.
