About the role
The Culinary Manager oversees all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, consistent presentation, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This role combines hands-on culinary expertise with strong leadership to guide and inspire a talented kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee kitchen operations to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to achieve excellence in food preparation, plating, and service.
- Work towards a common goal of providing excellent care and food service for residents.
- Hire, train, evaluate, and schedule kitchen staff.
- Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of experience as Culinary Manager.
- Certification in a Dietary Manager Course or associate’s degree in culinary/hospitality management.
- Current and valid ServSafe Manager’s Food Safety Certificate.
