What You’ll Do
- As Lead Line Cook, you will be responsible for the daily execution of meal service while serving as the on-site leader ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational stability.
- Lead daily meal preparation and service according to approved menus and recipes.
- Ensure meals are served on time, at proper temperatures, and meet quality standards.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving through approved vendors.
- Direct kitchen workflow, assign tasks, and adjust staffing coverage as needed.
- Step into food production or service roles to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor waste, portion control, and cost awareness during daily operations.
- Collaborate with program leadership and respond to feedback from individuals served.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety and inventory.
Who You Are
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- ServSafe certification required
- Experience in food preparation within a structured or program setting preferred
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety, and organization
- Able to lead by example in a hands-on environment
- Reliable, professional, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Committed to individual empowerment, recovery principles, and community integration
- Two years of sobriety preferred
