About the role
The Culinary Lead is responsible for leading the culinary team at Sur La Table, ensuring high-quality food service and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for food.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the culinary team to ensure efficient and high-quality food preparation and service
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers and staff
- Train and mentor culinary team members
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Contribute to the overall success of the store through teamwork and collaboration
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced restaurant or retail environment
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
