Culinary Externship
About the role
As a Culinary Extern, you'll be part of our enduring legacy and exciting growth at Parkhurst Dining. You'll assist in preparing menus and food selections, develop cooperative relationships with other departments, and help with ordering and receiving food and supplies.
Responsibilities
- Assists in preparing menus and food selections to meet needs of clients, customers, and guests.
- Develops and maintains cooperative and congenial relationships with staff in other departments.
- Assists team with ordering and receiving food and supplies.
- Inspects deliveries to ensure wholesome foods are received in the correct quantities.
- Proactively addresses customer and client needs; identifies and implements improvements.
- Maintains Parkhurst Gold Standards, On the Go standards, and other company standards.
Requirements
We're looking for a current university student pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, Professional Cooking, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and a confident friendly personality are also required. Demonstrated teamwork is a plus.
Qualifications
