Culinary Assistant

Job Overview

We are looking for a Server/Culinary Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our senior residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community in West St Paul, MN. This nutrition services schedule includes; Casual/On-call schedule, Day/Evening/Night schedule, Every other weekend. Seniors from across the West St. Paul area are making plans for full and meaningful lives at The Sanctuary. The Sanctuary of West St Paul is always looking for a caregiver whom shares our dedication to our core values of Dignity, Integrity, Service, Compassion and Innovation. One of Ebenezer’s newest managed properties and destined to be one of West St. Paul’s premier senior living communities, we offer both Assisted Living and Memory Care. We are conveniently located near Interstate 494 and Highway 52 and public transportation in West St. Paul, MN.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
• Fulfills dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
• Fulfills proper work flow to stay on task
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction
• Welcome residents and initiates conversation
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately
• Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Less than 1 year experience

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 1 year experience

Compensation

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.
