What You Will Do

  • Instructors will teach courses in Colorado High Schools.
  • The instructors are approved by academic departments to offer course content for designated courses.

Qualifications You Already Possess (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Masters Degree or 18 credit hours at the graduate level in the discipline you are seeking approval.
  • Currently employed in a Colorado High School.

Conditions of Employment

  • This adjunct lecturer appointment is a voluntary, non-compensated role and does not constitute a paid employment relationship with the University of Colorado Denver.
  • The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work; often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.
  • The position requires the ability to effectively collaborate across functions with both CU Denver faculty and staff and with personnel at the partnering high school, including sustained communication, coordination, and shared academic planning.

Compensation And Benefits

This adjunct lecturer appointment is a voluntary, non-compensated role and does not constitute a paid employment relationship with the University of Colorado Denver. All compensation and benefits should be handled by the instructor’s home institution.
