CTT / Electronic Warfare Supervisor (EWS) Tactical Trainer
Responsibilities
Lead/Manage/Support - Must have the ability to train others in the technical description, operation, and tactical employment of Electronic Warfare Systems on Aegis BL9. The candidate must be familiar with EW-related training systems such as BEWT and/or SEWTT, their integration into relevant host combat systems as well as adjacent EW systems such as GALE, JTT-M, SLA-10, SSX-1 and DLS.
Train and evaluate watchstander performance in hardkill/softkill integration, sensor and weapons tactical employment techniques and effective internal and external communications the EW-Supervisor Watch Station is responsible for. Accomplish this through classroom and practical scenarios based on current Navy-wide operational tasking, Fleet best practices, doctrine and tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Provide subject matter expertise in support of curriculum development for SCSTC courses supporting present and future course development.
Requirements
- Seven (7) years of experience as a CTT qualified as a SLQ-32(V)6 Electronic Warfare Operator and Supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment.
- One (1) year of experience as an instructor in a Navy Training Environment, to include presentation skills, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.
- Prior SCSTC, ATRC, TACTRAGRU (PAC/LANT) or SMWDC Instructor experience is a significant plus.
- Master/Afloat Training Specialist (MTS/ATS) Qualification preferred.
