CTE TEACHER - BUSINESS AND MARKETING 0.8 FTE

About the role

This position is for the 26/27 school year. External applicants will be considered after the internal bidding process is completed. Internal candidates should follow the provided link to bid on this position.

Responsibilities

• Teach business and marketing courses aligned with appropriate Vcodes.
• Advises a CTE Student Organization (CTSO).
• Attends advisory meetings and submits required CTE documentation.

Requirements

• Hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE teaching certificate with the appropriate 3-years full-time occupational experience-based endorsements.
• Apply for the Residency Teacher certificate or add the endorsement to your teacher certificate and pass the basic skills test and content knowledge test.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED and OSHA Trainer certifications.
• Pass criminal background fingerprinting with WSP and FBI.
• Successfully complete OSPI required training.
• Support CTSO engagement and complete all CTE documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 professional references from current and former supervisors, including email addresses.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.

SkillsKnowledge of CTE teaching standards and best practices.

Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Experience in advising CTSO organizations.
