CTE TEACHER - AVIATION/DRONES (0.6 FTE)

About the role

This position is for the 26/27 school year. External applicants will be considered after the internal bidding process is completed. Internal candidates should follow the provided link to bid on this position.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in aviation and drones as per the required endorsements.
• Hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE Teaching Certificate with appropriate 3-years of full-time occupational experience-based endorsements.
• Hold or be willing to obtain an FAA Part 107 UAS commercial license.
• Be willing to advise a CTSO organization, attend advisory meetings, and submit all required CTE documentation.

Requirements

• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE Teaching Certificate with the appropriate 3-years of full-time occupational experience-based endorsements.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Must successfully complete OSPI required training.
• Must hold or be able to obtain a teaching certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible to obtain a CTE Teaching Certificate with the appropriate 3-years of full-time occupational experience-based endorsements.

Skills

• Ability to teach aviation and drone-related courses.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations and requirements.
• Experience in aircraft mechanics, airframe technology, and flight operations.
• Ability to maintain and repair electrical systems, electronic equipment, industrial robotics, and communication systems.
