About the role

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center (LWRMC) is an award-winning, high-quality, acute-care hospital accredited by The Joint Commission. It offers a wide range of services including emergency services, general and robotic surgery, maternity care, breast health, cardiology, orthopedic surgery, stroke, sleep medicine, urology, and wound care. The medical staff includes over 750 physicians and allied health professionals.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures under the direction of a radiologist.
• Applies prescribed ionizing radiation to obtain a radiologic diagnosis.
• Follows the principles and guidelines set forth by the American College of Radiology.
• Performs other technical procedures requiring independent judgment and ingenuity.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of formal radiological training in an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Acute care experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered.
• Registered by and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State License through the Florida Bureau of Radiation Control is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
